1. For candidates who have been born on or after 1992.

  2. Candidates must be members of SEIO and and they must be registered at the XXXIX Spanish Conference on Statistics and Operational Research.

  3. The work must be original or have been published after 1st June 2020. You can not present a work that has been previously presented. The work must be a máximum of 25 pages and may be written in either Spanish or English. It must be related to Statistics or Operational Research. A summary of no more than 4 pages must be presented together with the work and at least include a state of the art and contribution sections. It is posible for the work to have more than one autor, however they may not individually present the same work.

  4. The candidate must present the work during the XXXIX Spanish Conference on Statistics and Operational Research in the presence of a Committee. The Committe will evaluate the scientific quality of the work and the application of the candidate.

  5. The candidates must send by e-mail with subject "Candidatura al Premio Ramiro Melendreras" to the e-mail address [email protected], the following documents:

    1. Presentation letter regarding the candidature

    2. Copy of ID card

    3. Brief Curriculum Vitae

    4. Brief biography (maximum 250 words)

    5. Whole paper and the summary mentioned in point 3 of this bases.

  6. The deadline for the submission of the work is April 29th, 2022. After that date, submissions will not be accepted.

  7. Before the conference, titles and authors of the selected works, together with the summary and the brief Curriculum Vitae of each candidate, will be published.

  8. The result of the competition will be announced during the XXXIX Spanish Conference on Statistics and Operational Research. The winner will receive a diploma from the SEIO and 1500 euros from the Ramiro Melendreras Foundation.

  9. The jury will be formed of members of the Scientific Committee of the XXXIX Spanish Conference on Statistics and Operational Research.

  10. The award can not be shared and may end with no winner.

    Visit Alhambra

    Tomorrow, Thursday, we will visit the Alhambra. 1. At 7:00 p.m., buses will start leaving from the door of the Hotel Granada Center (in front of the door of the Faculty of Sciences) 2. Upon arrival, groups with guides will be organized. 3. There will be groups in English language. These groups will wait at the destination until the arrival of all buses. 4. After the visit to the Alhambra we will walk to the Carmen de los Mártires to have a cocktail. 5. On the way back, we can go back by bus, which will leave from the same place where they left us at the Alhambra. 6. Although the way to the Alhambra by bus seems long, it really is close to the city. We invite you, whoever wishes, to go down for a pleasant walk. 7. Do not forget to take your Alhambra ticket and your identity card or passport. The document must be the same whose number matches the ticket number you have.
