Norwegian supply chain network for salmon product is addressed considering the complicated nature of the problem as different aspects are interlinked such as product transportation, multiple transportation modes, inventory level at various stakeholders and varying supply/demand of product. For solving such challenging problems, it is imperative to develop certain operation research based mathematical model which can capture the aforementioned aspects together and consider their respective restrictions. Moreover, the results obtained after solving the model give valuable information in terms of the way the overall supply chain network adapts to the variation of demand at the retailer end. Moreover, the model has been tested on different environmental conscious transportation scenarios and accordingly their impact on the carbon emission incurred is presented. Valuable insights are generated to understand various perspective of the operational tendencies of the supply chain stakeholders.
