Corrección de la falta de respuesta en encuestas panel. Aplicación a la “Encuesta social 2018. Educación y transiciones al mercado laboral en Andalucía”

La falta de respuesta en encuestas es un problema creciente que puede ser causa de sesgo si las unidades faltantes se comportan de manera marcadamente diferente a las que contestan. El problema de falta de respuesta se agrava en las operaciones longitudinales basadas en muestras panel, donde la proporción de unidades de la muestra que responden todas las oleadas puede ser significativamente baja.
En este trabajo exploramos una metodología alternativa a la corrección estándar, con la finalidad de reducir el sesgo. El proceso consta de dos fases: en la primera, los pesos originales de diseño son corregidos a partir de las variables que más inciden en el fenómeno de la falta de respuesta mediante un modelo logit; en la segunda fase, los pesos obtenidos son calibrados utilizando información auxiliar a nivel poblacional. Esta metodología la aplicaremos a una operación longitudinal basada en muestras panel, la “Encuesta social 2018. Educación y transiciones al mercado laboral en Andalucía”.
